Every diabetic should should have certain supplies at hand at home, in your car, and at work. You should always carry candy, sugar packets, or glucose tablets and you should always have them in your car, at home and work. Medication can unexpectedly lower you glucose level too far. Unexpected changes in your everyday routine, such as strenuous activity, stress, or emotionally charged situations can affect your glucose level. At home you should always have a diabetics meter and test strips to check your glucose level when you feel light headed, faint, cloudy, or other unusual symptoms. You should check your glucose level from time to time and some medical providers suggest daily to insure you are maintaining your levels.
