               Salsas

               Salsas are great for type 2 diabetics, because they are low in carbohydrates they offer great flavor, texture, and fiber.  You can implement them in a lot of your side dishes and as a bonus they are very easy to make.                

               Soups

               Soups are easy to make as well and there are plenty of soups to suit most type 2 diabetic’s taste.  They can be made to be low in carbohydrates and are tasty.

               Salads

               Salads like salsas are also good for type 2 diabetics, because they are low in carbohydrates, they offer great flavor, textures and fiber.  Where you have to be careful is in the choice of dressing.  Choosing the wrong dressings can push your total caloric intake too far and cause you to gain weight, which is counterproductive when you are a type 2 diabetic.  Controlling your diabetes is often about moderation.

               Sea Food

               Sea food is quick and easy.  The only drawback is that you have limitations on dressings, because they are often too rich in calories, and some are high in carbohydrates.  So not all fish recipes work, but they also have trace minerals which are believed to help you use insulin better and at least a few people think eating sea food every day can be a means of curing type 2 diabetes.

               Chicken

               Chicken is very flexible in terms of preparation.  It can be eaten as a simple sandwich or a fancy dinner.  Chicken can be prepared and eaten hot, cold or warm.  It often requires very little change in your eating habits.  Chicken by itself is okay, but other ingredients  could make a less desirable food for type 2 diabetics and also for someone trying to lose weight.             

               Beef           

               Beef likewise only requires small changes in your eating habits to make it a proper food for type 2 diabetics.
