Recipes For Type 2 Diabetics

                                    Sea-Food

Sea food is believed to contain trace minerals that are important for diabetics that allow the body to better handle glucose.   There are also studies that also show that fish oils tend to decrease the chances of coronary heart disease among diabetics when consumed at least once a week.  Vascular disease is the leading cause of death among persons with diabetes and one of the best means of decreasing the probability of diseases is the consumption of fish.

Therefore you should include fish as part of your regular diet.   There are a few fish that contain unusually high levels of mercury and should not be consumed with great regularity these include Swordfish, Bluefish and King Mackerel.  Pregnant women should avoid these fish as they could lead to health problems with the unborn child
